In pursuit of innovation and collaboration, faculty members from Bicol University College of Science-Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) recently made a significant visit to the Center for Human-Computer Interaction (CHCI) for benchmarking initiatives.
In collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education(CHED) National University Philippines (NUP) Bicol University (BU), and Caraga State University (CSU) Faculty members from Bicol University, Legazpi Albay conducted a two-day workshop on Artificial Intelligence Natural Language Processing (AI-NLP). The team, comprised of esteemed professionals including Dr. Lea Austero, Dr. Lany L. Maceda, Engr. Jhon Raymond Barajas, Prof. Jennifer Llovido, and Prof. Arlene Satuito.
In conjunction with the workshop, Dr. Junrie B. Matias, Director of the Virtual Learning Resource Center (VLRC), warmly introduced the team to the research centers of the College of Computing and Information Sciences – Caraga State University (CCIS), including CHCI. The team’s visit was met with genuine enthusiasm and a friendly welcome from CHCI Director, Dr. Jaymer M. Jayoma.
This benchmarking journey wasn’t just about physical exploration; it carried a symbolic weight โ an exploration into the potential of AI-NLP. As the boundaries between human and computer interaction blur, CHCI remains dedicated to fostering excellence and innovation.
