The gameplay of Into The Breach is a turn-based strategy. Each battle in the game lasts 5 turns. During this time, the player must not allow the Ages to destroy buildings and the mechs themselves. You really have to think about your move and calculate it for a long time. The key feature of the game games is that the player does not need to destroy all the monsters, but save the city. The balance has been verified by the developers down to the smallest detail. Into The Breach doesn’t have a single broken or useless mechanic. Their variety and quantity make Into The Breach incredibly replayable.

The world map is divided into four continents, where the player is given the opportunity to fight for regions. Each continent has eight regions, but the player will be able to save only five. For saving the Earth, the player is awarded coins, which he can spend on purchasing units of three mechs. Each squad encourages the player to play in a different style. Combat vehicles are radically different from each other. Using a chess analogy: imagine that the first game you played exclusively with a king, rook and knight. After winning, you will be given the opportunity to choose a set of queen, pawn and bishop. You will be forced to play differently, because these pieces move and hit differently.

You can upgrade your fighter by destroying the Ages. Passive bonuses will be unlocked with new operative levels. Plus health or resistance to toxins – each fighter has his own bonuses.
Upgrading furs occurs in a different way. The player can purchase active or passive abilities in the store for reputation or find them in time capsules. Capsules fall from the future, straight from the sky. They contain new fighters, mech abilities and energy cores. The latter are necessary to “feed” the ability. Simply installing a new module in the mech is not enough – you need to provide it with power. Cores can be purchased in the store or received for completing tasks on the battlefield.
